Today's song of the day is Permanent Vacation by Mullingar, Ireland based band The Academic. The band just announced their debut album "Tales From the Backseat" last night. The indie rock band has a Circa Waves like vibe but with more of a 90's throwback addition, with heavy drums and a strong showing of upbeat electric and a consistent bass riff, guaranteed to get your foot tapping. This song lyrically exudes a time for seeking adventure, and is a fun tune to listen to for sure. This song is just a small taste of what to expect from the upcoming project, but judging from this- it should be one to check out!
