Today's Song of the Day is Getaway Car by Taylor Swift. Swift, who just last Thursday released her fifth LP, Reputation delivers on this rather hidden track, not one of the singles. The reason this song stands out amongst more powerful and explosive songs on the album is the production quality and lyrics. Swift paints a perfect metaphor about how a relationship relates to a getaway car and how she needs to get off. Her vivid storytelling and distinctive voice makes for a great track. Swift's producer Jack Antonoff's fingerprints are all over this song as well. The piano and synth interplay is heavily reminiscent of a Bleachers track and is something never seen before in Swift's body of work. Be sure to listen to the album and the song!
