New Music Alert: James Bay
James Bay has cut his locks and ditched his signature hat in 2018- with a revamped and polished sound. Earlier today Bay dropped the lead single off of a presumed second LP entitled "Wild Love." The British singer/songwriter is best known for hit singles "Let It Go" and "Hold Back The River" off of his debut album "The Chaos and The Calm." Bay has showcased a unique acoustic voice and songwriting abilities that challenge anyone out there. Bay's main lyrical focus has been relationships- and this new track continues that feel. At only 27, Bay sounds mature and focused in this raw and emotional track about wanting to love someone. He sings "I wanna go where the lights burn low and you're only mine I wanna give you wild love." Bay always maintains a coffeehouse simple vibe- but in a way that can also be played in front of thousands of people.
He tells British GQ that “Wild Heart” is also something of a departure from Chaos And The Calm lyrically. “I’m somebody who has and will continue to draw inspiration from a slightly more fragile and forlorn standpoint in relation to relationships,” This track is certainly a step forward in Bay's very bright career. He has evolved in the best way possible and we cannot wait to see what else comes out of the new project! Bay announced a few US tour dates to accompany the song- check them out and watch the lyric video below for the new track!
