New Music Alert: Carlie Hanson

Currently opening the show for Troye Sivan's North American Bloom Tour is on-the-rise pop singer Carlie Hanson. The eighteen year old Wisconsin native certainly has a lot of talent to offer.

The singer is overwhelming with confidence and potential- she has now released a total of five singles- the latest "Toxins" being dropped this past Friday. The song is catchy and vibrant- and Carlie proves she can truly tell a story with each track. She describes how she "don't need nothing but you and your toxins"- a perfect song about infatuation and love and embracing the negative sides of people.

She credits pop influences such as Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Justin Bieber as being major influences to her sound. There is also some clear hip hop elements Carlie embraces production wise- specifically in 2018's "Mood".

Her songs are the perfect pop anthems to play to get into a chill yet fun vibe. Her songs tackle aspects of youth and exploration, yet still feel like they come from a mature point of view.

Carlie in her live show is captivating and truly connects with the crowd in a humble and down to earth way. And even though the crowd might not have heard of her- they are sure to remember her sound.
