Rockstar Energy's DISRUPT FEST Heats Up In Phoenix, AZ
The Rockstar Energy Disrupt Festival visited in Phoenix, Arizona on July 27. Even though it was hot, fans weren't stopped from coming out to a fun filled day of music. As an attempt to beat the heat, the festival and main stage were combined. Therefore, everyone had a change to see their favorites perform on the big stage.
One of the bands that got the crowd on their feet was Sleeping With Sirens. They played two new singles called "Leave It All Behind" and "Break Me Down." These two singles are off of their upcoming album How It Feels To Be Lost which is set to release on September 6th, 2019. These two new singles are significant because they are going back to their roots. These songs are heavier than their past release. Overall, the crowd loved it. Everyone was singing along and having a blast in the heat.
Another crowd favorite was Circa Survive. They packed the pit for this set, and who could blame them? Lead singer Anthony Green has such a great stage presence with so much contagious energy. It's obvious that he is having a ton of fun on the stage. At one point during their set, Green threw his mic stand up into the air and caught it perfectly. Not only does this represent their energy but there was a collective gasp that went through the crowd.
Closing out the night was the iconic rock band The Used. Bert McCracken, lead singer, put on such an enjoyable performance that had everyone forgetting about the 114 degree temperature. He had the crowd captivated and singing along to all of their songs. He even stopped in between two of the songs for a squat break with his microphone stand leading into a run around the stage waving it as a flag.
Although the first year of the Rockstar Energy Disrupt Festival tour has officially come to an end, we can't wait to see what the next year brings!
