BONES UK Rock Boston's House of Blues
Camden Town rockers BONES UK stopped in Boston, MA on July 30. On tour with fellow UK band The Struts, as well as the Canadians in The Glorious Sons, BONES UK started the night off right. Having last saw them open for Palaye Royale at a small 500-cap venue in a suburb of Boston, the band had no problem lighting up the House of Blues, a venue that holds 2,000 more fans.
The band told stories of their beginnings in London, discrimination in the music industry, and societal beauty standards. Their songs “Girls Can’t Play Guitar”, “Beautiful Is Boring”, and “Pretty Waste” had everyone head-banging and chanting along. Lead vocalist Rosie Bones cried, “Long live imperfections,” as the crowd cheered in response!
Giving thanks to The Struts and The Glorious Sons, it was clear that Rosie, Carmen (lead guitarist), and Aaron (on the drums) were enjoying their time on the Young & Dangerous Tour. Throughout the rest of the night, you could see Rosie singing along to the other bands’ sets from the balcony, and Carmen dancing throughout the GA floor with other members of the tour.
