FAMILIAR Plays In Their Hometown of Kansas City
FAMILIAR, an indie pop-rock band from Kansas City, played a hometown show August 2nd. They just released their debut record “Sun Overhead” that they’ve been working on for several months. Their song “Innate Beauty”, or "Innate Booty" as they joked on stage, has over 80k streams on Spotify!
While still small, and fairly new to the local scene, FAMILIAR definitely know their way around the stage. With their catchy tunes and powerful stage presence, it was easy to see why so many people love them. FAMILIAR easily set the mood for the rest of the show - not only did they fill the venue, but everyone was mesmerized by their performance. Post-set, the band were in the crowd engaging the audience, supporting the other artists and cheering along.
