Pottery Gets Groovy In Boston, MA

Montreal alt-rockers Pottery, on tour with Irish punk band Fontaines D.C., stopped in Boston, MA this past Sunday, September 8th. Sold-out, the crowd was eager to hear music from Pottery, as they are label-mates with Fontaines D.C. on Partisan Records. As their music is groovy and danceable, the crowd starting moving as soon as they started playing.

With only one album under their belt, Pottery played succinctly, while still leaving room for band banter. Even during technical difficulties, the band improvised solos, not missing a beat while the problem was being fixed.

While the seat featured a few unreleased tracks, some favorites of the night were “Hank Williams”, “Lady Solinas”, and “The Craft”.

Before leaving the stage, Pottery graciously thanked Fontaines D.C., as well as the crowd, with whom they cheers’d with. The 5-piece, though packed in tightly on stage, were a great fit, as they appealed to fans of the headliner and set the rest of the night's tone: high energy!
