Snake Canyon Rocks NYC With Two Shows
Last Saturday night, the local hard rock and heavy metal band Snake Canyon played two shows in NYC back to back proving that hard rock lives on in the city that never sleeps. I was able to catch them playing their second set in the basement of Arlene's Grocery in the mist of a busy night for the area.
These hard working and talented men joined forces to create music that can't be stereotyped but instead can be enjoyed and loved by rock fans of all spectrums.
Throughout their set at Arlene's Grocery, they had the crowd captured with their groovy yet head bang worthy original tunes. Their songs range from personal experiences to even some humorous songs that leave you picking up the chorus to sing along. At times, the vocalist SuperMorgan would speak to the audience and his bandmates causing people to laugh and enjoy the moment with them. While performing, SuperMorgan had a commanding presence while his bandmates took control of the stage, demanding your attention to each of them individually.
If you're a fan of both classic hard rock and heavy metal from the likes of Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Black Flag and Bad Brains, then you should check these guys out. Currently they have their new album Too Damn High out now and it's available for purchase through Bandcamp.
