Bishop Briggs Brings 'The Fire' To Boston

This past Wednesday, alternative-pop solo artist Bishop Briggs visited Boston's House of Blues. Having opened for the likes of Bleachers (2017) and Kaleo (2016), Briggs was enthused and honored to finally be headlining the venue.

She brought the crowd in with her new single, "CHAMPION," which will also be the title of her forthcoming album, releasing November 8th. Briggs joked, "I tried SO hard to get it released on Halloween!"

The night continued with a mix of songs from her first EP, her full length Church of Scars, and a sneak peaking of the upcoming Champion album. Highlights included "JEKYLL & HIDE," released just days before the show, as well as some of my personal favorites: "The Way I Do," "The Fire," and "TATTOOED ON MY HEART."

Bishop Briggs noted how proud she was to be bringing an all female lineup to the House of Blues, with support from Jax Anderson and Miya Folick.

"It's time!" Briggs giggled right before ending the night with her hit song, "River". It is easy to see Bishop Briggs loves what she gets to do every night. While some artists might resent their most popular songs, Briggs brought just as much passion and energy to her older tunes as her newer ones.

The Champion Headline Tour with Jax Anderson and Miya Folick continues throughout North America into November, then heads overseas with Yoke Lore in December.
