The Sea of Tragic Beasts
On Sunday, November 24, 2019, Fit For An Autopsy finished off their latest album tour for The Sea of Tragic Beasts at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY.
Previously, just one month before, they sold out the exact same venue. That's when they decided to add a second date to end the tour in their own backyard with the added bonus of having the performance filmed live for and by Revolver Magazine.
Fit For An Autopsy is a deathcore band reigning in from Jersey City, New Jersey. This six piece band formed back in 2008 consists of guitarists Patrick Sheridan, Will Putney, and Tim Howley, along with lead vocalist Joe Badolato, bassist Peter Spinazola, and drummer Josean Orta. Their chemistry on stage is natural and between songs they joked around making the energy in the room more laxed than most deathcore shows.
In this intimate setting, their fans filled the room to sing along to their songs, even calling out titles and random remarks that made for great commentary that came from Patrick Sheridan. The entire time, not a single body was still in the room. Between the people in the small pit that opened in the middle of the room to mosh and thrash, there were that many more head banging and grooving along.
In many ways, this band has set a different bar for deathcore because these guys grew up in the hardcore scene but still managed to create a whole new sound of their own. One things for sure, deathcore will leave you wanting to dance and mosh all at the same time.
If you're looking to add a new deathcore band to your list, I highly recommend these guys.
Keep up to date for their next tour because when these guys come into your town, you're not going to want to miss out on getting to experience them live.
