A New Dawn with Hangman in Brooklyn

On the night of Wednesday, November 20, the famous soon to close Brooklyn Bazaar in Brooklyn, NY was filled to the max of fans to see some of their favorite hardcore bands, one of those bands being none other than the Long Island hardcore band Hangman.

On September 20, they released their new LP on Flagspot Records titled, One By One. Fans eagerly awaited for the return of new music from this band and they were not disappointed with tracks like "One Mistake" and "Worthless." One thing is for sure, this band shows off their heavy side in their breakdowns and their vicious grooves to keep you moving.

As they hit the stage, everyone in the room was ready to open the pit to throw down relentlessly, thrashing their bodies into one another, running to jump the stage to sing along, sometimes even joining the band on stage, and skydiving back into the crowd showing no mercy. This show was hands down one of the most packed and crazy shows to attend this year proving that real hardcore shows don't lighten up for anyone. Also proving that even though Brooklyn Bazaar may be closing, they haven't lost their touch in having some of the best shows to experience.

Before Hangman hit the stage, the local Staten Island hardcore band Combust opened up the show bringing their A Game and not disappointing. Following Hangman, Lion of Judah played their first show in NYC in 13 years. Then finally headlining the show, the infamous E-Town Concrete destroyed the stage ending their set at midnight after their fans completely lost their minds and let the music control them.

If you weren't at this show and you live in NYC, you missed most likely the best hardcore show you ever could have attended before this year was up.

Looking for some new hardcore bands? Check out Hangman, Combust, Lion of Judah, and E-Town Concrete. Keep a look out for more tour dates from Hangman because you don't want to miss these guys if they swing into your town.
