Eliza & The Delusionals on their new single, “Just Exist”

The Gold Coast, Australian natives and indie rockers, Eliza & The Delusionals has struck the music scene by dominating Sirius XM’s Alternative Rock charts with their thunderous and intoxicating 90s esque single, “Just Exist”. The band formed in 2015 with consisting of Eliza Klatt (vocals), Ashley Martin (guitarist), Ruby (Bass),and Kurt “Tex” Skuse (guitarist). The band's sound has been compared to Alex Lahey and Catfish and The Bottlemen.

Eliza & The Delusionals released their first debut EP, The Deeper End in 2017 featuring notable tracks such as “Salt”, and “Falling Out”. With their exponential success, the band began to play Bluesfest and Falls Festival. Eliza & The Delusionals progressed into the next stage by having the honor to support artists such as Dear Seattle, Tiny Little Houses, and Nothing But Thieves.

The band is now heading on their first American tour supporting SilverSun Pickups on their West Coast leg in 2020 (dates below). Eliza & The Delusionals plan to make 2020 full of new releases beginning with their top charting new single, “Just Exist” - a 90s inspired track fusing elements across the alt rock genre from Liz Phlair to modern day Paramore.

“Just Exist” is a track that encapsulates the reminiscent elements of 90’s alternative and indie rock. Hints of soulful guitar riffs are diffused throughout the song giving it a nostalgic and special twist. Along with the electrifying and powerful vocal delivery from Klatt, it immediately transforms the track into a lively experience.

Frontwoman, Eliza Klatt goes in depth about their chart topping track and the importance of songwriting as a therapeutic outlet. Klatt further explains how, “Just Exist' is about the balance of feeling depressed and feeling creative and inspired by those feelings. I find a lot of my best and most inspired creative ideas have come from some of the saddest and worst feelings I’ve ever felt which is very bittersweet. I hate feeling down but if I didn’t feel that way I think I would plainly just exist."

Eliza & The Delusionals has the drive and potential of becoming Australia’s next biggest band. Make sure to catch them on tour supporting Silversun Pickups on their 2020 North American Tour!
