Chester Bennington Lives On
Chester Bennington might be gone but he will never be forgotten.
Found dead at the age of 41 in his home on July 20, 2017, the world has never been the same. His family and anyone who knew him including Linkin Park fans worldwide have all been devastated since this tragic loss.
There was talk of unreleased music over the years since his passing but it wasn't until January 15th that we got a taste of what we all have been missing. Before the rise of Linkin Park, Chester was in the band Grey Daze from 1993-1997. He had announced a reunion, that is before his untimely death but as you all know, this never came about.
Thanks to the surviving members and Chester's widow, Talinda Bennington giving her blessing because now the world gets to experience his talent once again with the first release of "What's In the Eye". It is everything we all know and love of his vocals and the passion in the lyrics.
According to drummer Sean Dowdell, he cowrote the song with Chester after a friend of theirs had died in a tragic car accident. The first release being a song based on gripping with loss after a premature death couldn't be more fitting
Hearing his voice again is both nostalgic and emotional. No matter what, Chester Bennington's legacy will live on for years to come and this world will never truly get over this great loss.
