YUNGBLUD Releases Music Video For Single 'Weird!'

YUNGBLUD, born Dominic Harrison recently released his iPhone shot music video for his single "Weird!" at the perfect time. With everything going on in the world, this song is one many can resonate with his words. He had not planned on making this the first single of his sophomore album, due out later this year but it couldn't be a more perfect time to do so.

This 22-year old singer-songwriter has been through a rough year and a half. Moving to Spain to build a recording studio and decompress, nearly losing his mother in a car accident, and going through his first heartbreak in a high profile relationship with someone he has continued to be friends with. In two and a half years time, he went from hoping to just be heard to be globally loved and adored by millions of fans.

He had taken on the persona of YUNGBLUD as a teenager as a cry for help to find people like himself. Successfully, he was overwhelmed by just how many people were waiting for the same thing as he became the one to bring together a community.

As he had risen to fame after his debut album 21st Century Liability was released, it was a slow rise due to the mainstream not picking up on his album as quickly as they had after he made the single "11 Minutes" featuring Halsey and Travis Barker (drummer of Blink-182).

Dom is known for his belief of standing up for what is right. Recently in LA, he was spotted alongside Halsey as they marched, protested, and helped others who were harmed in the crossfire of police tear gas and rubber bullets.

"No matter who you are, what race you are, what sexuality you are, what color you are, you have a right to be heard, and you have a voice," he continues. "And I think everything's going to get weird and everything's going to get messed up and everything's going to get bizarre, but it doesn't matter what people say. It matters what you do and how you handle it."

"to stand up and shout in the face of tyranny is what it means to know you are alive," he recently wrote on Twitter. "your voice is the most powerful tool you have. be brave, keep using it."

"I always want it to lead to liberation and love, every single outcome, because it will if we work hard enough for it."

"And I think that's fine. Because all I want to do is to build a culture of people from all different walks of life that can't be ignored, because we're that loud and that vast and that big. That's all that matters to me."
