Black Veil Brides Announce 10 Year Anniversary and Release of "Re-Stitch These Wounds" Alb

Hollywood, CA very own rock band Black Veil Brides are back and they announced they have re-recorded their 10 year old debut album We Stitch These Wounds to bring us Re-Stitch These Wounds set to release on July 31st. The first re-recorded single they have shared was "Sweet Blasphemy".

In 2006, back in the Myspace days just before Facebook took over, Black Veil Brides came out onto the scene when the emo days were in their prime releasing songs like "Knives and Pens". At the time, the group consisted of only Andy Biersack, Johnny Herold, and Phil Cennedella until Andy relocated from Ohio to California when he regrouped with new members and the lineup changed a few times over the years.

You may remember them for their big hair, tight 80's glam/hair metal meets emo kid style clothes, and extreme make-up looks that stole the hearts of teenage girls everywhere. You probably even remember when their vocalist Andy went by Andy Sixx until 2011's release of "Coffin". Now here we are 10 years after they released their debut album, those same girls still love them today. If this last decade has proven anything, it's that these guys aged like fine wine.

Before this re-release, they had dropped their The Night EP in November and two music videos for both singles, "The Vengeance" and "Saints Of The Blood". These were the first two tracks the band released after their 2018 album The Vale and was the first two without former bassist Ashley Purdy, who's departure was due to allegations surrounding him by many women. Lonny Eagleton has since stepped in as the new bassist and fans welcomed him with open arms.

Lead vocalist Andy Biersack had a solo career as Andy Black during downtime from the group. During this time, he grew as a vocalist and successfully blended his voice back in with the group to give his more mature fans what we needed most. He has gone on to also have an acting career starring in the movie American Satan and soon he will be seen in the show Paradise City.

Black Veil Brides had planned to go on tour this year opening up for In This Moment and DED, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour has been postponed. Currently, there are no rescheduled dates set up but they are working to set it up for next year.

Black Veil Brides have successfully released 5 albums, an EP, and now a re-recording over the course of their 10 years career, We Stitch These Wounds (2010), Set the World on Fire (2011), Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones (2013), Black Veil Brides (2014), Vale (2018), The Night EP (2019), and Re-Stitch These Wounds (2020). Each album proved to be better than the last while still holding true to who they are as a group. Something tells me, these guys aren't done releasing new material and it'll be worth the wait.
