Growing Chicago rappers IAMNOTU and TommyGunTooley are shaping up to be perfect candidates to supply fire all winter for fans of the city's underground rap scene.
If IAMNOTU's most recent single featuring TommyGunTooley "In My Head" is any indicator of whats to come from, then expect the duo to make some serious noise before the end of 2018.
The two took turns ripping apart a low key and smooth instrumental that left plenty of room for their lyrical spread. The song has heavy focus on the good and evils behind living a money motivated lifestyle and at points exposes the many who just become obstacles trying to keep up.
Beyond the lofty beat and importantly catchy lyrics, its also easy to see IAMNOTU and TommyGunTooley kept it all the way real through the whole song. Not many rappers can say they live their lyrics, and even some can't say they write their lyrics.
This tandem can say yes to both and it's flexed in the mature sound and content of their music.
