Makena Unleashes New Song “Roses”
2019 is the year of Los Angeles pop singer-songwriter Makena. Earlier this year she released two singles entitled “Fuqboi Worktape” and “Let You Go.” Embracing her talent of infectious sounds, “Roses” is leading Makena down the perfect path of pop stardom.
Just like her previous songs, she focuses on relatable relationship issues, “I feel like too many times we fall back into old patterns of toxic relationships, because it’s comfortable and can feel easier than being alone. I wanted this song to be a statement of realizing your worth, and cutting out the negativity in your life.”
Makena’s new song is more upbeat than her release of “Let You Go” back in April, but it still perfectly highlights her ability to capture and secure an audience to listen closely. Once again, she does a wonderful job mixing 21st century living with current and hip sounds. “Roses” is a powerful song that will forever remain on a constant loop in my head.
